Hello crafty people ! I’ve discovered that crafting & blogging, like exercise (moan) needs discipline. Miss a week and it is really hard to get back into the groove, Really , really! And when you do try to get back that rhythm, well it feels a little heavy, draggy. Then once you keep at it for a while , and the endorphins and all the other happy hormones start zooming then you’re on a roll. I wish I could say that’s where I am, but sadly, I’m not quite in the zone yet. The first card I have to share with you, started as a good idea and in the end, it was missing something a few days I just left it. I had fun using my new thread to sew the pieces together . Before this, I only had the white thread that came with the machine.

No, I am not over the banner craze and I’m sure many crafters will agree. These are from a Maya Road stamp set and so is the sentiment. Dots, checks, text, florals…totally different designs in the same pastel palette blend together to make a really simple & quick card. Use an edge punch on floral paper for a vintage feel. I’m seeing more banners in the latest CHA collections as well, including the heart stopping Lost & Found Two collection from My Mind’s Eye. Here’s a sneak of their new paper pads.

The collection is now in store even as you read this. I’ve gathered myself a small heap of stuff and I’m hoping I’ll get to use them soon. It’s been a whole lot of readjusting around here and even more disappointing news, which means more perspective shifting ahead. That’s the stuff of life, no?  Well, there have been lots of happy moments too and lots of family visiting which is always uplifting. Hope all of you are doing what you love, even with the skies being hazy. Good reason to stay in and make stuff! I’ll be back soon to share some September class sneaks and definitely some Lost & Found Two goodness.  Lost & Found, what an interesting pair of words. See you all soon!
